By bus: Take bus no. 7 (direction Willy-Brandt-Platz über Neu-Ulm), get off at the bus stop Schützenstraße and walk against the direction of the bus for about 50 meters. You will find the Brickstone Hostel on the left side (no. 42) – welcome!

On foot: It takes about 20 minutes on foot. If you come out of the station turn right, follow the path (via the bus station) more or less parallel to the train tracks, cross the Danube on the footpath over the railway bridge (from here you have a great view of the Ulm Minster and the old town!). On the other side of the Danube you are already in Neu-Ulm. Here, turn left and follow about 200 meters down the river Danube, after the Golden Tulip Park Hotel turn right (direction Glacis-Park) and keep going straight ahead. The 3rd cross-road is the Schützenstraße, here you turn left and after about 400 meters you will find the Brickstone Hostel on the right side of the street. Welcome!

Alternatively, you can also walk through the city center, it is maybe a little bit further, but you will pass shops, the tourist information and the minster:
When you leave the station, go straight ahead (crossing the street and bus lane), through Hirschstrasse (Ulm’s “shopping street”) to the Münsterplatz (the square in front of the minster).
Keep to the right of the minster, cross the “Neue Strasse”, after the beautifully painted building (this is the town hall of Ulm) turn right, down the cobbled street, follow the left-hand bend and at the end turn right again over the bridge, the “Herdbrücke”. After crossing the Danube you are already in Neu-Ulm. Follow the street until you come to a square called “Petrusplatz”, turn right and you will come to Schützenstraße. After approx. 200 meters, No. 42, the Brickstone Hostel, is on the left side of the street.

The long-distance bus station (Flixbus, …) is a little bit outside the center – you arrive in Ulm-Böfingen, at Eberhardt-Finckh-Straße 38. However, the connection to the center is good unless you arrive in the middle of the night.

From there (bus stop “Egertweg”) you can either take bus no. 4 to “Rathaus” (the town hall), from where it is less than 10 minutes on foot to our hostel (or 2 stops by bus no. 5 to “Petrusplatz”, from where it is a 3-4 minute walk to us).

(Falls ihr auf die Nr. 4 lange warten müsst, könnt ihr auch mit der Straßenbahn Linie Nr. 1 fahren, bis zum Willy-Brandt-Platz, dort steigt ihr um in den Bus Nr. 7 mit diesem bis zur Haltestelle „Donauklinik“ oder „Amtsgericht“. Von dort sind es jeweils noch 1-2 Minuten zu Fuß zu uns.

Autobahn A8 Stuttgart / München:

Exit Ulm-West, feeder road Friedrichshafen B10 via city-autobahn Ulm. After the tunnel get into the right-hand lane, direction Neu-Ulm, after the exit get into the left-hand lane (at traffic light left direction Stadtmitte Neu-Ulm), underneath the railway. This is already the Schützenstraße. After about 2 km you will find the No. 42 on your right side – Welcome to the Brickstone Hostel!

A7 coming from Würzburg / Feuchtwangen:
At the three leg autobahn interchange Ulm/Elchingen on the A8 direction Stuttgart. Exit Ulm-West, feeder road Friedrichshafen B10 via city-autobahn Ulm. After the tunnel get into the right-hand lane, direction Neu-Ulm, after the exit get into the left-hand lane (at traffic light left direction Stadtmitte Neu-Ulm), underneath the railway. This is already the Schützenstraße. After about 2 km you will find the No. 42 on your right side – Welcome to the Brickstone Hostel.

Autobahn A7 Würzburg / Kempten:
At the three leg autobahn interchange Hittistetten take exit Ulm/Neu-Ulm/Senden, then take exit Neu-Ulm / Stadtmitte Turn left at the first crossing (direction Wiblingen) and go straight ahead. At STOP sign turn to the right, direction Ulm Drive on direction Neu-Ulm / Stadtmitte (about 500 m) Pass under a big bridge and drive straight on. This is already the Schützenstraße. Follow the road for about 2 km and you will find the No. 42 on your left side – Welcome to the Brickstone Hostel.
